Paula and I met as students in a creative grief coaching program. During our classes I expressed some trepidation about starting my own business for the first time after retiring from a career working for other organizations. Paula generously offered to help me get unstuck.

Paula helped me to prioritize the necessary steps and assigned homework at the end of each session to keep me on track. She was always quick to identify and remind me of my strengths and to acknowledge my accomplishments along the way, which kept me motivated. She also provided valuable input on various tactics like my website and promotional materials.

Three months later, I’ve launched my business with more confidence than I’d have without Paula’s encouragement and expertise! I’m forever grateful.

Working with Paula has opened up a pathway of freedom for exploring what creativity uniquely means for me. Formerly hampered by my own self-restrictions and limiting beliefs, it seemed that I had gotten burnt out on my personal and professional writing projects. I rarely counted anything as “writing progress” except words on the page. I even found that I had to earn my self-care/play time. And in the midst of these “for me” activities, I was in the habit of measuring myself for worthiness or whether I was being/doing enough. That’s no way to live a creative life.

Because of Paula’s kind, insightful and caring suggestions, I am recognizing and letting go of this suffocating habit in my life. I am learning to do what I want to do and it’s helping me to arrive in my life as a happier, less-stressed creative being. And this is empowering me to imagine the possibilities, to envision the publication of my book, my ideal job, and the future that I want to have for myself and my family.

Creativity coaching with Paula has been a blessing! Before we started working together, I felt very disorganized. I was having a difficult time managing my household and two businesses. Instead of me running my businesses, my businesses were running me. Paula helped me set attainable goals, gave me tips on how to manage my schedule effectively, and prioritize my creative time. She also helped me establish healthy habits to stay on track. By reviewing what habits worked and didn’t, we developed the best path forward for me. She offered a plethora of options. If something didn’t work, I wasn’t a failure. It just meant we needed to try something else. I’m now working consistently on my creative projects and meeting my goals.
